Why study Tae Kwon Do?
Training in Tae Kwon Do boosts self confidence and self esteem. Students will be expected to learn complicated movements which help their concentration, memory and the ability to coordinate their bodies. They learn to do as they are asked while they gain the self-discipline to keep going when training is tough. We teach our students respect and courtesy to their instructors, to each other and to themselves.
Training in Tae Kwon Do helps our students get physically and mentally stronger which in turn helps them in daily life. They learn to be polite to everyone (even people they may not like). Mastering such skills are great to take into adult life. Tae Kwon Do students learn discipline.
Benefits of studying Tae Kwon Do: Physical Fitness, Self-Defense, and Self-Confidence, to name a few. Many Tae Kwon Do students also develop the confidence to teach and to nurture the younger kids and in doing so they learn patience and kindness. This sense of achievement and pride is fantastic to see on their smiling faces!
Classes are held Monday through Friday starting at 6pm.
What is Tae Kwon Do?
“Tae Kwon Do is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics”. World Tae Kwon Do Federation
Elementary, Middle and High School - $100 per month (uniform included).
The meaning of Tae Kwon Do is composed of three parts. "Tae" meaning foot, "Kwon" meaning "fist” and "Do" meaning the "way" or "art." When we put these words together the translation means the Art of Kicking and Punching.
